Who is Patrick Star?
Patrick is SpongeBob’s neighbor and best friend. As opposed to SpongeBob, she is shown as lazy, fat, and ignorant. He has been portrayed to have a low IQ, making him a dimwitted and interesting character in the show. However, sometimes Patrick may seem brilliant for a short period. It definitely confuses the other characters and the viewers.
Patrick is well-aware of his low IQ, though. In the episode “Tentacle Vision,” Squidward asks Patrick, “Just how dumb are you?” Patrick responds, “It varies.”
He studied at the Star School (a private pre-school for starfish initially). Later, he got his education from the Bikini Bottom Elementary School, Bikini Bottom Jr. High, and Bikini Bottom High School. He enrolled in Bikini Bottom University for his college degree but dropped out.
Patrick used to work at the Chum bucket. He has been shown as a part of the Chum Bucket in three episodes The Fry Cook Games, Chum Bucket Supreme, and Bucket Sweet Bucket. He also gives the catchphrase “Chum is Fum” in the Chum Bucket Supreme episode when he becomes the slogan manager.
How did Patrick Star Die?
Patrick Star died of food poisoning in the episode Death in the Pineapple. Yet, he was revived later.
The incident of Patrick’s death begins with Patrick knocking on SpongeBob’s door. SpongeBob opens the front door and greets Patrick. Patrick pours a bowl of cereal and sits down to watch The Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. He suddenly starts to gag while eating the cereal and collapses. His face goes green, and he stops breathing. It turns out that a serial killer has poisoned the cereal.
His funeral is held the next day in the presence of everyone, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Mr. Krabbs, Squidward, Gary, and Sandy. SpongeBob recalls his good days with Patrick and stays at the cemetery for hours after everyone leaves.

The Patrick Star Show is a spin-off of SpongeBob SquarePants. Patrick hosts a talk show with his family in this series. Characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, including SpongeBob, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Sandy Cheeks, are also seen in the Patrick Star Show.
